Hey everyone,

I applied to SEAS for transfer, and I just logged into my account, and I can log into financial aid (no award or anything is there). Can everyone log into financial aid?

Hey everyone,

I applied to SEAS for transfer, and I just logged into my account, and I can log into financial aid (no award or anything is there). Can everyone log into financial aid?

Just got an email from a Columbia admissions rep saying results will be up “likely on May 13th and definitely by May 15th.”

AHHHHHHHHHHH.

They’ve been closed for 4 hours. How is that possible. And yes I can login to finaid too, and I’ve been able for a while. I don’t think it meanss anything.

I don’t think an email response is contingent upon the call hours. Regardless, I received an email just now from the Associate Director of Transfer Admissions, David Weisborg saying so.

And please note, I got this email NOT as an official notification; I sent an email since I’m possibly taking a summer course for which I need to put a deposit, so I need to know my admission soon, and this was a response email.

Thanks for your info. And, yes, I have been able to log into financial aid for quite a long time.

I didn’t get any email :(

^If you read above, you’ll see that no mass email has been sent. The people receiving emails have sent specific inquiries to the admissions office.

Hey guys, Latest news and inside information for Columbia transfer students. RESULTS WILL BE UP ON MAY 13, 2011 BEFORE MIDNIGHT!!! GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!

That is definite?

Are the decisions gonna be online?

@xxk4ixx
Yes, decisions are online. That’s what the website says.

I wish it would be true>< Where did you get the information?

BTW, from the 2008 thread: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/transfer-students/507361-official-columbia-transfer-thread-fall08.html

I guess we are supposed to receive an official email which notifies us when the decision is gonna be released. Below is the extract of that user’s email:

Dear Cherryblossom,

Thank you for your application to Columbia University. We are nearing the end of our application review process and will soon notify students of our admissions decisions.

You can receive your admission decision online. We plan to post all admissions decisions here on Thursday, May 15, 2008, after 5:00pm (Eastern Time).

We are also mailing admissions decisions on Thursday, May 15, 2008, so you will receive an official decision letter by mail as well.

Cherryblossom recieved that email at around 3:30pm (west coast time) on 5-9-2008. which is like 6 days before the release of admissions result. But I don’t get any official email from Columbia or any other contacts from them till today…pretty nervous…anyone get email thogh?

Yes, it is. Online only, no mail or e-mail…

From where did that information come from that the decisions would be posted on Friday?

they will not send any e-mail, thats what they said…but check online on 5/13 after business hours :)

who’s “they”? did you call the admissions office?

If they do not send an email how do we know where to check? Is it the same location as the application tracker?

it’ll be on their admissions website, not the application tracker, if past experience with Columbia deems me correct

Is it this website?
[Log in Here | Welcome Admitted Students](http://www.studentaffairs.columbia.edu/welcome/login.php?redirect=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.studentaffairs.columbia.edu%2Fwelcome%2Fhousing%2F)

Anyone can log on already?
P.S. Is there actually any ways to know whether I get in earlier?

no, that is for actually admitted students. in the e-mail they will send, there will be a link to the place where you put in your C# for your decision. if i remember correctly, it was in the introduction page to Columbia’s undergrad admissions website
