Columbia vs. Barnard

I have long been somewhat bemused by the various postings relative to the “relationship” or lack thereof between Barnard and Columbia. I have read many sides to this issue, with many clinging to the notion that Barnard=Columbia=Barnard.

Well, the attached article is very eye-opening for me, related to the other threads about reactions to President Obama’s upcoming commencement address at Barnard.

Apparently this situation has opened up a pandora’s box of feelings and emotions relative to the two schools and their alleged synergy.

I am not a ■■■■■. I support Barnard and all women’s colleges. Just interested in seeing what if any reaction the “panel” might have to this article. Thank you.

Thank you for sharing. The article you linked to focuses mostly on flurry sexual epithets -but you titled this thread Columbia v. Barnard and reference the relationship between the schools. I think those are different, but overlapping issues – so I’m not quite sure what you are looking for in terms of commentary.
