<p>The USC Thornton School of Music, Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra in partnership with The Colburn School & and the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra present the Piatigorsky International Cello Festival Marh 9-18, 2012.</p>

<p>Artistic director is Ralph Kirshbaum and the narrator will be John Rubinstein. </p>

<p>The festival will bring together masters of the cello and cellists from around the world. Representatives from twelve countries will share their artistry through orchestral concerts, chamber music performances and master classes.</p>

<p>Some of the cellists who will perform are: Steven Isserlis, Ralph Kirshbaum, Mischa Maisky, Jian Wang, Nathaniel Rosen, Andrew Shulman, Jefffrey Solow, Peter Stumpf, Raphael Wallfisch and Alisa Weilerstein.</p>
