This might be a strange question but what's more "important", the Common App Essay or the College Supplemental. I'm applying to Cornel CALS AEM and in my common app essay, I talked about my first time starting a small business outside of my home by selling candy/crafting things. This relates to Cornell's prompt "College of Agriculture and Life Sciences: How have your interests and related experiences influenced the major you have selected in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences?" Do I include what I wrote in my CA in this supplemental essay or do I talk about something entirely different? Would it benefit me if I used that experience as my college supplemental rather than my CA?

Hey! If your essay is specific to a certain school I would use it as the college supplemental in the application. I say this because I think it is important to show a school that you have thought about the college essay and you understand what they are looking for. The common app essay can be seen by every college you submit via common app so if you feel the essay is better off as a supplemental because it has a lot to do with a certain school, do it.

Thanks for the insight!
