Common App essay vs Tufts supplement

So I have a huge dilemma here... The essay topic I chose for the CommonApp is basically the EXACT same thing as Tufts's supplement.

CommonApp: some students have a background or story that is so central to their identity that they believe their application would be incomplete without it. If this sounds like you, then please share your story.

Tufts: There is a Quaker saying: “Let your life speak.” Describe the environment in which you were raised—your family, home, neighborhood or community—and how it influenced the person you are today.

I want to talk about the country I grew up in and then connect that to my identity for my CommonApp essay. But it seems like the Tufts one is asking for the same thing? Or is there another way I can go at this?

You could talk about your parents/siblings

I had the same dilemma. My common app was about cultural identity as well. For my Tufts essay, I wrote about my community in America and how it shaped me as a person. PM if you need ideas! I’m open to editing your essay if you can edit mine!

Environment is country, culture, family, school, religion, etc. If you were specific in your common app essay, be general in your Tufts essay or visa versa. If you talked about your country in the common app essay, talk about your family, teachers, friends, religion, whatever in the Tufts essay. It’s only 250 words, it isn’t that hard.
