Is it just me or are you only allowed 500 characters for each of the personal statement questions? It seems a little too short in my opinion.

You really don't need more than 500 characters to concisely answer the questions. I'm sure they don't want to read 5 full length essays from every applicant.

yep, 500 including spaces :)

i'm with u on this one CrnPrdian =] i'm finding it very hard to cut everything down.

I know what you mean by short personal statements. It killed me to answer those and to find out that my brilliantly planned five sentences was too long :D. Just sit down and write it out. And when the little box tells you "no more words loser"(you know what I mean), look at where you left off, look at your last sentences, and delete what you need to to finish your thought.

damn, wait a sec, i wrote about, a paragraph, somewhere probably around 60 words, is that ok?

When I applied, I spent two (full) days and five revisions each on the short answers. The hardest part is getting across what you want to say in so few words.
