Communications/Journalism Major?

Hey Guys,
So I'm getting focused in on my schools list and am wondering if you guys would be able to answer some questions I have.

So I'm looking at big state schools like Wisconsin, Penn State, Georgia, but also smaller schools like Lafayette, Villanova, Holy Cross, Trinity, and UVM. Those are just a few.

At all those schools I'm looking to study communications and/or journalism.

My Gpa: 3.15 uw
AP's: 5
Honors: 13+
Tons of EC: I play three varsity sports and have lettered and received multiple honors in both.
I am the president of two clubs with over 150 members. I am one of the top editors (managing editor) of my school newspapers which is one of the Top 50 in the country if not the top in Mass. (Gold Medal certificate by Columbia Scholastic Press)
Those are just a few. I also have been nominated for a few scholarships (1 national, 1 in Northeast)

I've tested ok though
ACT- 27
US History SAT2- 690
Math 1 Sat 2- 740

So pretty much I'm wondering what you guys feel are my chances for some of those schools. Personally I feel that as an aspiring communications major I would have some sort of an advantage from my experience on the student paper. Also what would you guys recommend for some safety schools? I'd love to hear whatever you guys got. Also don't mind the grammar I'm tired as hell.

Thanks
