heyy ya'll. i know this question has probably been answered like a million times already, but do community college classes count towards your gpa when you apply to college? i know it doesn't count for most high schools, but since almost all colleges recalculate your gpa when they have all your grades anyway, will they count those grades from community college toward your gpa? i'm looking into johns hopkins and the uc's especially.

anyone?????

it depends if your school puts college classes on your gpa. If you don't know then they don't and it doesn't mean a thing.

Most schools do not calculate college credits' GPA earned outside of their school, but only accept the credits if you got a C or higher in the course. So if you're attending UCLA and take a math course or two over the summer at Cactus Community College and get straight Cs, they don't calculate that into your GPA. Lots of people take harder classes over the summer at a CC in order to maintain a decent GPA and take easier classes at their school to boost their GPAs.
