I got into Revelle College after quickly picking it during my last-minute applying and I was horrified to find out how many science courses we're required to take. I'm undeclared but I'm hovering over computer software engineering or economics and, as far as I know, neither would really require many natural sciences. So I was thinking of taking a chem class and a physics class at my local community college the summer before school starts to lighten my load a bit, but I'm worried that the credits won't actually transfer. Anyone here take classes at a community college prior to starting school? Did the credits actually transfer or was it just a big waste of time?

Do you live in CA? If so, you can check whether the courses at your local community college will transfer to UCSD here: [Welcome to ASSIST](<a href=“Welcome to ASSIST”>Welcome to ASSIST)
