Hi,

I took many GE classes in my community college when I was in high school. I was just wondering if those grades show up later on, or do they just show the units to show satisfaction of the breadth?

thnx.

Hi,

hey, if you sent berkeley your community college transcript and the GE classes are on it (and they should be), then the school knows what your CC gpa is. i don’t know what my official cal transcript says, but i know that my unofficial one has the number of transfer units (70 max.) and applies what it can to the requirements (most of them satisfied cal’s req.'s). it doesn’t say anything about what my CC gpa is, but then again i’m looking at my unofficial transcript (not the real one).

hope that helps.

GE college GPA does not show up. FYI, don’t struggle for an A for future cc courses because anything above a C is transferable credit.

yeah but if you intend on continuing to grad school, then grad schools factor the CC grades into your gpa.

bumpin this old thread:

i took 3 years of language at my local cc to meet hs language requirements and also to solidify my college application, i did poorly. so the gpa from these classes will not appear on my berk gpa? and if i apply for med schools, they wont be looked at neither or factored into my cal gpa?

on the other hand, im planning on taking english, calculus and chemistry (as well as other major req’s and breadth reqs) at local CC as well (summer and fall, since i am spring admit). so these WILL show up on my cal gpa? or at least med schools will factor these into some sort of overall gpa?

can i have some clarification please?

Will Community College calc c and calc d (covers differntial equations and multi variable calculus) be enough to cover med school math prereqs?
