Hi College Confidential, I was wondering if we HAVE to complete our GED before applying for transfer to a UC. My plan was to complete all of my lower division prerequisites ASAP so I could transfer to Cal or LA. I've accumulated the units that my lower division prerequisites would amount to and it's over 60. I'm just wondering if we still have to complete our GED as well as our prereqs.

High school credentials appear to be irrelevant to junior transfer admission to UC or CSU, unless you use specific high school course work to fulfill requirements (e.g. high school course work or AP scores used to fulfill foreign language or American history and institutions requirements).
