Anybody want to give me my prospects for Northeastern? I've read the average transfer GPA is 3.3, which seems relatively low compared to their freshman profile. Does anyone think there is a reason for this? I'm just curious.

Anyway, I have a 3.7 GPA at community college. It will probably linger around there, or either dip to a 3.6, or climb to a 3.8. I'm finishing my associates this fall (general studies/liberal arts) and will transfer into the Spring '11 term. My intended major is philosophy (potentially pre-law or grad school philosophy). I will have taken every philosophy course (3) offered at my school, as well as two courses classified as "Humanities" (Coping with Life & Death and World Religions). Aside from GPA, they look for one professor recommendation and an essay. I've been told the commonapp changes on August 1st, so I suppose I have to wait until then to see the prompt and do my essay. I figure my general topic will be that I want to supplement my philosophy major with integral co-op experience. I don't have many relevant EC's aside from one internship at my stepdad's insurance company, Phi Theta Kappa, and I'm considering tutoring other kids for intro philosophy, college writing, perhaps some history courses.

Some of my classes include:
General Bio I
Western Civ I
US History from 1877
Intro to Logic
Ethics
Intro to Philosophy
Principles of Sociology
Comparative Government
Statistics
Marketing Principles
Microeconomics
Macroeconomics
