Okay, this totally does not fit in with the rest of the posts here, but it does concern admission to NEU. I'm currently a freshman at Emmanuel College in Boston, and I applied to transfer for next fall to Northeastern. I'm really anxious to know my chances of gaining admission, and although I'm not sure you guys really deal with transfers a lot here I figured I'd give it a shot anyway.

I took four classes last semester, three Introductory: General Psychology, First Year Seminar (an English course focusing on sentimental literature) and Critical inquiry, which was a writing and comp. class. I also took one math class that was pass/fail (I passed), and my GPA for the semester was a 3.8 on a 4.0 scale. This semester, I am taking five classes, three of which are 2000-level (intermediate) and two of which are introductory. They are Physiological Bases of Behavior (Psychology 2209), Short Fiction (English 2323), Social Class and Power (Sociology 2127), Recent Moral Issues (Philosophy 1115), and College Algebra (Math 1101).

NEU has my grades from last semester, and my course list for this current one. They haven't asked for my midterm grades. I sent in two recommendations -- one from my Psychology professor and one from my Writing professor (both from last semester). As for testing, I got a 27 on the ACTs when I took them in high school and sent those scores along as well. Everything was mailed off as of early January.

According to collegeboard.com:

Transfer Students
Total number of transfer students who applied: 2,547
Total number of transfer students who were admitted: 1,203

so I'm really anxious to know what my chances of getting in are. My one concern is that while my GPA from last semester was good, the classes I took weren't especially challeging therefore the grades I got don't really mean as much. Any help or opinions would really be appreciated. Thank you so much in advance!!
