I live in Connecticut, I was planning on attending UCONN this fall semester, but not UCONN in Storrs (the main campus), a regional campus (Stamford) that I would have to commute to.

Thing is, I want to eventually transfer to an out-of-state school, either in Boston or Florida. I refuse to go to the main UCONN campus in Storrs or stay in-state. I want to work on my grades and than transfer.

So am I better off saving more money and going to a community college?
Are community college easier to transfer out into an out-of-state college compared to a university? Or is it easier to transfer from one university to another that's out of state?
Or should I just take my chances at UCONN and play it safe, in case I don't end up out-of-state?

I feel like going to UCONN at a regional campus and commuting everyday, is the same thing as going to a community college? I mean, what exactly is the difference?!
