"Community" Essay: Can I do this?

<p>Hey guys,</p>

<p>Do you think its okay for me to write the U of M community essay about a community that I am in but don't really belong to?
It's a community that I am surrounded by every day, but my place in that community would be more of a "challenger."
Is that okay or too off-topic/risky?</p>

<p>Probably not a good idea. This essay topic doesn’t warrant that kind of “outside the box” type of thinking. It doesn’t follow the prompt.</p>
