Community Service

I wasn't sure where to ask this so I put it here:
I do a lot of volunteering. One of my biggest activities is working with AYSO on all fronts: as a coach, referee, and volunteer for disabled children. I've only reported about 50 hours of community service to my school (minimum), even though I have done a whole lot more in reality. Do I need to start keeping track of these hours and figure out how much I've done to report this? I listed it on my common app as 2-3ish hours a week (pretty accurate), but I don't know if I need to report these all to my high school also.
Thanks!

If you are reporting to your HS, I don’t know why you would misrepresent your hours. That will look strange. And if your GC used your reported hours in his letter, it won’t match up in range with your application and that will look like you are exaggerating your hours.

I think you should because usually schools want a rec letter from the GC. And if you ask him/her, they will think something is up and maybe you’re trying to fluff up your common app.

I never had the situation where we needed to report hours to our school, but for any letters of rec we always give the teacher or GC a r

I’m pretty sure she won’t mention a number in the rec letter.
The problem is at this point any amount I turn in would be an estimate, and turning in hundreds of hours at once seems like it would be odd.
