community service

how many communitry service hours does ur school required before graduation??? my school requires 6, and when do u guys start doing the community service hour??? do we need like a paper to fill out hours or something???

none! and i am beyond positive that 99% of my class will not do ANY volunteer work, at all. but i love it, so ill probably beg for credits for my hours.

sorry if this doesnt completely answer your question.

20 hours for my high school.

None but I volunteer anyway

My school requires AT LEAST 96 hours of community service before graduation. That means 24 hours a year, but around 70% of people (including me) do well over the 96 hour requirement. BTW I go to a Catholic H.S...

gosh 6 and 20 are such small numbers. Normally there is a form for you to fill out where you show the hours you did and the supervisor signs to prove you did them. I can't think but for us it's around 75 each for junior and senior year. We have 3 categories each having to have 25 hours. I do volunteer stuff now and would do so anyways. I don't start counting hours until next year though. Oh and it isn't a normal graduation requirement where I live but it is for me because I am in the IB program.

None for graduation, but 25 each year for NHS

20 per year, only 10 of which can be completed on campus. but if you don't do them, you get 10 hours added for each year you didn't complete all your hours... so you could end up with 110 hours to do at the end of senior year and a mad scramble to get them done so you can graduate

none for graduation but its used to beef up college apps

so far sophmore year I am at 28Hrs.

I've done all of zero hours. Probably why they won't let me into NHS, but whatever.

I think we need only a few to graduate but most people have > 75 for bright futures.
