I'm curious to know if your school forces you to have a certain amount of community service hours to graduate. My school requires students to accumulate 40 hours of community service to graduate. It's not too many hours and I don't have a problem with it, but I'm just wondering if other people are forced to do community service as well and how many hours?

Yeah; 75 hours.

Damn 75. Well I guess it’s good for apps.

80 to graduate.

Man, I guess I have it easy.

Yes, we have to do 40 hours. it really is not that much.

Nope, none at all. All out of the generosity of my heart, lol

yup. 10 hrs for grades 9-10, 30 for senior year

we need 140 hours to graduate. it’s really not that bad except for people that put it off til senior year, i’m going to be a junior and i’m already done.

Freshman - 20 hours
Sophmore - 30 hours
Junior - 40 hours
Senior - 40 hours ( unless you’re a scholar its 80)

Damn catholic school.

we need 48

40.
: ) 10char

I don’t think so.

My graduating class only needs 60…the rest need 75.

Graduating class needs 50, the total school year requires 150.

Nope .

yes, 32 hours of christian service.

Mine requires 40 hours in addition to a lengthy approval process and a reflective essay about our experiences. This is in addition to a 30 hour “Personal Challenge”, in which we must learn or accomplish something outside of the academic realm, such as training for and running a marathon, learning the art of glassblowing, or learning Thai cuisine.

Yep, it’s very easy, just 20 hours a year. Most kids still lie about it.

Nope.

But a lot of our clubs require that you do community service in order to join.
