Based on some threads,

Freshmen tend to choose

Warren
West
Towers

as their top 3 choices.

Most of freshmen decide to choose btw those three.

However, some of them still do not know a lot about those residences.

Therefore, If you have already lived in one of those residences or if you’ve visited there
before, Plz write about your experiences / Pros and Cons / what you think about

Then That would be rly helpful to Freshmen ( including me =] )

Warren and West are essentially the same minus location. Both are loud, social dorms. They have dining halls and study lounges. Warren is in central campus, West is in, well, West campus.

Towers also has a dining hall and is located on scenic Bay State. It has more sophomores compared to the other two. It is also smaller.

If you want a comparatively quieter environment, choose Towers. If you want a loud dorm, really the only way to pick between West and Warren is location. Do you want to be closer to class? To parties? To the city?

bailey is right, west and warren are just about the same. west is close to allston (parties) & fitrec along with cgs, cfa, and sha. warren is close to cas, smg, sar, com, just about everything in the middle of campus. towers is a block down from warren and on bay state, parallel to comm ave, and only has double rooms. east tower has lofted beds and is renovated, west tower is formatted just like warren and west but with bigger closets and lots of shelving. all 3 have laundry rooms, quiet study lounges, and dining halls.

If you are deciding between West and Warren, the biggest consideration should be proximity to your classes. If you are in CAS, COM, SMG, SAR, etc, Warren is a better idea because it is so close to your classes, as well as the heart of campus. West is a good choice if you are in CFA, CGS, or SHA. Its cool to be close to FitRec and Agganis Arena, but I don’t think I would have enjoyed living there if I were in CAS and had to get all the way down campus every day, and rely on a T that is sometimes unreliable.

I am ENG student. Which one is closer to ENG classes?
West or Warren?
