Does anyone feel like high school is just a competition to see who can get the best results (ie grades, ecs, etc.) with the least amount of sleep possible?

yes. but not everyone is like that. some people don't study and still get top grades. others have a LIFE.

This is true. I myself lose a lot of sleep, though.

If sleep deprivation really did get you into college, I'd be going to Harvard..

hrhcow - do those kids that are getting top grades and sleep also really awesome at their ecs?

I get at least 10 hours of sleep per night (counting naps). Usually 12, plus more on weekends. :)

I think that kids who don't get enough sleep are just bad at time management...most of my friends who complain about lack of sleep don't start their homework until 10 at night...

I like sleeping.
But there just isn't time!

I easily have 3 hours of homework a night, plus time for soccer and extracurriculars. Although I am not working non stop, I am however not surfing the net hours on end before I start hmwk.

it's true about the bad time managment thing because i usually come home and watch tv until 11 and than i start my homework.

fhimas88888888 : oddly yes. but there certainly aren't a lot of them.
