complete all haas breadth requirement= leg up?

if i complete all the haas breadth requirements will i have an edge over others? i need to know b/c i may have to add in another bio class instead to keep my history class.

More like if you don’t what are your chances of getting in. The answer, slim to none.

If you plan on applying this year then you have to hsd complete the Haas Breadth course requirements.

However, if you plan on transferring in the Fall of 2012 (applying November 2011) you will not need to complete the breadth courses. Haas has made changes to their admissions for students entering Haas in 2012.

oh yea and i am asking if i should complete it by this semester, when i am applying.

i will everything by spring semester for sure.

@AngryStudent13

I’m pretty sure as long as you complete them by the spring prior to transferring you should be fine. Don’t quote me on this though.

As a Haas transfer I believe breadth does not matter at all so don’t worry about taking it in a hurry. It doesn’t matter so much that for Fall 2011 applicants, their breadth completion requirement was extended till the end of their fourth year.

Question: How many prereqs do you have left? Any unfinished ones after fall?

If you plan on applying this year make sure you will have them all completed by the end of the Spring term. There seems to be this notion that numerous 4.0 students get rejected and no one knows why. I can tell you that most of these students most likely did not meet the requirements such as finishing the (prerequisites or breath courses).

The 2009 class had

If you’re applying next year then don’t worry about it. Try to complete as much as you can but I would make the prerequisites my main concern.

when are they going to post the 2010 statistics? anyone know?

@ Investment

I will have finished all pre-reqs by this fall.

looks like i won’t have to take my bio class at a weird time and history with a crappy professor then. yay

They just posted the 2010 statistics if anyone is interested.

@Random_Monkey

Thanks. Wow. Admission actually went up to 28%. Nearly 1550 applications and only 376 were deemed eligible. Well that in itself tells you something.

and GPA went down haha

did you see the age range for transfers

17 lol
