since the GE "breadth" is no longer required for admission into haas would it be a good idea just to fulfill IGETC + Haas prereqs? will people who complete breadth despite of it no longer being required have an advantage over those who will have fulfilled IGETC instead?

Hey poserbruin, i think it would be a good idea, isnt breadth and igetc the same thing? plus dont you need 60 credit anyways? Though i wish they could put it back to the way it was. so there would be easy elimination of competition :(

In your case, you will experience a much greater competition since there will be more student who will be qualified candidates. I am admitted this year and I will suggest the following:

Be yourself.
Don’t go crazy with classes. ( I only have 3-4 class per semester although I know people who loads with 20-24 units)
Challenge yourself
Do what you love.
If fail, fail with honor.

Haas does not accept IGETC to fulfill breadth, although courses that you take for IGETC may fulfill some or all of Haas’ breadth requirements, if you are careful in selecting them. See this page for more about Haas’ breadth requirements:

Wait what is the difference between IGETC and breadth?
