Hey. i already got accepted into one college and i basically don't hear from the rest until mid-March and April. and i obv wouldnt mind going to this college im already accepted into. With that being said, is it a big deal to confirm and say im going to go there (to save a space for housing and etc) so then if i dont get into another school/money issues i want to get into im all set. but if i do get in i can just cancel that admission(also im not worried about like a 100 dollar down payment or wat ever that dusnt factor in)? is that a big deal/ a hassel or a normal thing people do?

Well, if you wind up canceling on this college, it's really inconsiderate to them. If you tell them that you are definitely going there, they prepare your spot and plan based on your attendance. Imagine if you and a few hundred other people all suddenly canceled on this one college-it just throws them out of wack.

Yeah that's not really cool, just wait 'til April. Housing isn't likely to run out now. which school is this?

Theres no harm in waiting. And it would be pretty assy to pull out like that. But if you are 100% certain you want to go to that school, by all means, get it out of the way.

I'd say it depends on the school...if it's housing limited, like UT-Austin, I'd throw my money to them so you don't end up stuck in off-campus housing

The national reply date is may 1. Don't worry about it yet.

its UC Boulder and the housing isnt exactly limited i gess(they say your guaranteed a dorm on campus) but i would rather have a dorm in the central campus/one that is NOT chemical free. is this really a big deal or shood i just wait?

basically the main point is to get a dorm. lol not to be an ass.

so what do you think?

I applied there last year and when i got my acceptance letter there was a note saying they don't do housing until after may 1, which gives a fair chance to everyone. So just wait...
