Confused about the 70 semester / 105 quarter unit cap.

I know that the UCs cap you at 70 semester / 105 quarter units, but can AP units surpass that limit?

For example, let's say I accumulated 55 semester units through community college courses. I have 18.82 AP units from high school. This gives me 73.82 units total. Do I still get capped at 70 or can I transfer with the full amount?

Thanks in advance.

For application:

 1. the unit cap doesn’t apply to CCC students
 2. AP units do not count towards the unit cap (though they can count toward the unit minimum)

After transferring:
your units are capped at 70 units, period. you will still get subject credit for all of your classes.
