I received an email from NYU this morning, titled 'Your NYU Application is incomplete', which said:

Greetings from Greenwich Village,

From the Common Application website, we can see that at one point, you considered applying for admission to New York University. Please know that as of early morning, December 31, you did not successfully submit your Common Application to NYU. If you would like to be considered for admission to any of our campuses in New York, Abu Dhabi, or Shanghai, you must go back to your Common Application account and successfully submit your application and NYU Writing Supplement to NYU. A receipt for your application fee does not mean you have successfully submitted your Common Application to NYU. You must check your submission status on the Common Application website to ensure that both your application and NYU Writing Supplement have been submitted.

If you would like to be considered for financial aid, also be sure to meet our deadlines. We cannot consider you for any scholarships and grants if you miss our deadlines, even if you are eventually admitted.

We do hope you decide to apply.

Shawn

Shawn L. Abbott
Assistant Vice President and Dean of Admissions
New York University

P.S. You do not have to respond to this email. If you submitted your Common Application after December 31, you can disregard this reminder, though your should still check the status of your submission by visiting the Common Application website.

I submitted my application via Common App a few minutes ago, and have received confirmation emails and there are now green checkmarks next to everything needed for NYU. I was under the impression that NYU was due tonight (1/1) at midnight. Am I late? There is no longer a clock next to the NYU deadline, so I'm scared that my application is late and I won't be considered for admission.
