confused on andover application

On my extracurriculars part of the application, it wants me to
"List my activities in order of importance to me and using the space provided/additional paper elaborate and explain my list"

does elaborate mean talk about my history in these super decorated sentences? Or do I just say stuff like

Trumpet, 2 years, 1st trumpet in jazz band
instead?

thanks

Elaborate ... they want to see PASSION not a list ...

I guess they ask for whatever details you have to say, so they leave it pretty open and allow you to attach a sheet of paper if necessary. You can talk about years of experience, positions, level, awards, etc. instead of keeping it brief like what you did in your post.

ohh crap, what if I already DID keep it terse?

Like :

Trumpet - 4 years, I have been taking lessons and I am 1st chair of the igh School Jazz Band.

Except I had to cram it in .... should I just do that with all others too? Or should I do the ther piece of paper and super-elaborate?

what you did for your trumpet experience looks fine to me, but if you want to give more details you can white it out and re-do the whole thing.

So just like the facts?

Ex. Student Council- representative, VP, 2 years, 3 hrs/wk, got student discounts from nearby restaurants, raised over $300 dollars for food pantry, funded (for buses) a school-wide donation to the local food pantry, organized and ran student council meetings and school-wide assemblies, started a "change war" between seventh and eighth graders to raise money for the Jimmy Fund and Science Museum, currently raising money for a new digital projector for the auditorium

Or just all this in sentence form then adding something about how much I love serving on the StuCo? Thanks so much!! (I'm procrastinating on the Andover one because it's due Feb. 1 :P)

what kind of passion can i show on the list with DECA and FLBA?
