Confused on application process?

<p>OK, I never applied online anywhere before, so I have questions...</p>

<p>1.) When I apply online, is there some kind of checklist that shows me when the school receives my transcript and stuff?
2.) When you send in your transcript, the school will only see my fall grades, and I have not-so-good fall grades because I took the wrong classes, and the college I am at is depressing. Will the college flat out reject me with out looking at my spring grades and not see how much I've approved?
3.) I'm guessing the major I've picked isn't all that competitive (Russian & Eastern European Studies), will this help me? It's not like I'm applying as an Engineer or Business major.</p>

<p>My GPA is really bad this semester, around a 2.25 - 2.5 and U of I's cut off GPA is 2.25, so I'm winging it. I'll do a lot better next semester since I'll try harder and I'm taking better classes.</p>
