Confused with yearly costs...

<p>Ok, so I just received $13,500 in grants from Tufts per semester, totaling $27,000 for an entire year. Tufts tuition is around $38,000, and the "total cost" is around $52,000. My question is, is the total cost per semester or per year? Also, I am also considering Northwestern University, which is on the quarter system. How does their tuition work? Per year? Per quarter? </p>
