I am a sophomore in high school and posted a thread asking the same thing but I will make a new one because I don't think I made myself clear enough considering no one replied. I am from California and I really want to attend UC Santa Barbara. I did some research on admission and A-G courses. (You need at least a 3.0 GPA) I noticed they use your 10th and 11th grades to calculate your GPA. I ended first semester of 10th grade very poorly: 2.1 GPA. I am maintaining a 3.0 for the second final semester report card. Because I got a 2.1 would that be effective towards my chances? I think I am just confused on how they calculate GPAs but can someone let me know please!
