Just a thought....

Since housing is determined on when your deposit is received, if you have definitely made up your mind that you are going to RPI, you might want to consider sending in your deposit a few days early.

Barton and the Freshman Five have plenty of space, but if you want Bray or Cary since they are closer to the academic part of campus or if you just want to have a better chance of getting into the dorms you rank higher on your list, you might want to send in your deposit a few days early (before the big end of month rush).

Like I said, just a thought......

Bray and Cary are on freshman hill… Bray is further from central campus than Barton haha.

Quad is the only one where distance is really a difference (or on the opposite end, BarH)

Sorry, I meant Hall and Cary, as in Hall and Cary are closer to the academic side of campus than the other dorms of the Freshman Five.

Don’t know if it really matters that Hall and Cary are 100 yards closer than the others.

Those 100yds matter to me. There’s a middle school on the other side.

We deposited earlier today and made it official for DS. Probably should have done so earlier as it was his first choice all along. Getting waitlisted at UMich was the push we (not he) needed, I guess.

Congrats, Schmoomcgoo, to your DS!

I hope he likes it as much as my DS has.

His Rensselaer zip hoodie arrived today and he was home sick–it was a surprise and he was jazzed. He put it on immediately and plans to wear it to school tomorrow…assuming he goes.
