Hey guys so I took the December 2013 SAT and got 750 800 800 and although they say that to be competitive for top schools you need 750+ in all subsections, that 750 in critical reading has always made me feel a little bit on edge. I'm Indian (like with the dot) so I know that I won't have an easy time during applications and I've been considering taking the ACT and most likely getting a 36 (if not, it'll just be 35 fo sho). That should equate then to 2400 and cover up my 750 f-up (even though I only missed 3 questions OTL). Do y'all think it's worth it for me to take the ACT (Sept date)?

sick brag

Only if you want to look like a test-taking robot to admissions officers.

Stick with the SAT. You want to differentiate yourself from all the other Asians and Indians, not be another test taker just like them.

Do not take the ACT!! Instead, focus on the essays.

2350 and 2400 don’t have much of a difference. Work on your essays or extracurriculars instead of academics.

@Dream0n No. The difference between a 2400 and a 2350 is the difference between going to Harvard and your local community college.

@ChakNorris Take the ACT so you don’t look like such a disgrace to Asians without your perfect scores.

Staaahp.
