well prom is coming up, and i refuse to wear glasses. now i don't have my prescription on me, but a friend of mine can get contacts for me, that is of her prescription. now, can i use these contacts if her prescription is weaker than what i need, but still sufficient for me to see a little better?

yeah pretty sure.. if they are definetly weaker. (I think)

why dont u just prescribe? you just give them that card with the lens stuff (those numbers) for your glasses and they just give you the contacts with a little examiniation: like, making sure ur eyes are not dry,etc..

I agreed with NoFx. Wearing someone's else prescription could possibily damage your eye vision. :/

Don't wear her contacts - one thing contact prescriptions measure is the size and curvature of your eyeballs, in addition to the correction you need. Her contacts are probably a different size/curvature than yours, as well as not having the proper correction.

I suppose you could just not wear glasses OR contacts if your eyes aren't really bad and you can still kind of see...but then again, prom is probably an occasion where you would want to be able to see properly, lol. The best thing to do is get an eye exam and get your own contacts in your own prescription.

NO.

Each eye is different. Each eye is rounded differently, if she has a certain eye structure thats different which is more than likely possible, it could scar your eye.

You may be able to get a free pair of contacts (to try out) by paying for a contact lense fitting exam. The exam is expensive, but they make sure you get the right prescription and fit, show you how to put them in and care for them, etc. Many places give you your first pair free, so it might not be too expensive if you only want them for prom.

yeah my first one was free. and when she put them in my eye, it was quite a shock! everything was so clear without my glasses :O
