cooking at UCLA?

this might be a little bit random, but is there any way that a student can cook at UCLA? like rent a cooking space or something?

and are we allowed to bring hot plates?

Don't think so to all questions.

Nope. Not in the dorms, at least. University apartments have kitchens.

Sorry.

booooooooooooo. oh well.

aw shucks. i wanted some of allie's home cookin.

Wait, I thought one floor in Hedrick/Dykstra had a small kitchenette? Am I that old?

no, you're right. it's the fifth floor on hedrick i believe... the all female floor...

you can "cook" with a microwave (you just need to hide the microwave during room inspections).

ckings,

I'm NOT too old!

Hahahahahah!!! Yay!

When are the room inspections? Are they random? Will they check for microwaves the first week?

they tell you when they're inspecting the rooms, and they only check things that are in plain sight.

i heard they tore down the hedrick kitchen and the floor isnt all female anymore

^I can confirm Bruinbee09's response.

Wait so you can't cook in any dorms? Wow, thats pretty stupid. Are we supposed to eat crap? I guess If I go to UCLA I will be getting an apartment.

The dining hall food at UCLA is actually pretty good.

2400what,

You can actually eat pretty healthy food at UCLA if you're smart about it.

But really, most colleges pretty much force you into eating at the cafeteria. And DON'T get an apartment your first year. You'd be missing out on a lot.

The thing is that I like to cook my own food. I don't even eat my parents food. Since I workout, cooking my own food always works out the best. I think I'd rather miss out a little bit and be able to cook my own food. Also, in my opinion, having an aprtment is better. You have your own private place.

2400what,

I can say, without a doubt, that you would miss out A LOT (not a little.)

Just listen to the wisdom of your elders this once.

I like to cook Poptarts :)

I cook EasyMac and Ramen :)
