Any current/past gsp kids want to describe what the required classes are like in GSP? Do you still have to take the core MAP classes or whatever even if you have AP credits? How many classes do GSP kids take per semester, and are you allowed to pick more than 1 elective per semester?

Most of the core classes really vary from professor to professor because they're seminars. There are common books and themes but the focus varies.

For example, my Social Foundations I course focused more on political history however my Social Foundations II course was so philosophy based.

The core map's are replaced by gsp courses ( though there might be one or two requirements you get out of). You take 4 classes per semester and have 1 elective per semester freshman year.

How are students tested in those classes? I remember hearing that there are no "bubble-tests" in GSP. So, is it all essays?

That's what I've heard, venator, it's a LOT of writing, but I'm happy with that.
So 5 classes a semester, not bad.
thanks for the reply

4 classes a semester. a lot of writing. it's great prep for the rest of your life

wait, I thought you meant 4 classes + 1 elective...right? Or is it 3 classes + 1 elective class?
