I was just wondering, I had no intention on "hiding" previous grades, only that it would be towards the advantage of those who applied if they accepted only the grades at the current institution.

Thank you for your cordial answer, OceanNightSkies.

Other things, ofcourse, but that's what comes too mind.

yikes, that's ridiculous -- like i said, they were stupid to not take you. their loss -- where are you headed next year, did you apply anywhere else?

I got into Binghamton and I am still waiting to hear from Columbia (haha, yeah) But I called the admissions person my state (New York) yesterday and explained that I needed to send my Binghamton deposit in by today and wanted to see when Cornell was going to let me know, so I wouldn't have to needlessly send in the Bing. deposit if I had gotten in. The woman put me through to another person who explained that tomorrow (today) the are indeed releasing a number of notifications online, but that since I needed to send in a deposit, she told me that "CAS was not going to offer me a spot"

jwm your stats are really impressive! what happened to you sounds really ridiculous, its almost as if they made the decision on the spot, I mean it seems from your description that they based their rejection on the fact that you needed to know quickly. Is that even allowed?? (obviously they can do what they want, but it seems so wrong!)

thank you! I'm dissapointed, but there really isn't anything I can do. There is ofcourse the distant possibility that Cornell will decide to place me in another school, but I doubt it. Cornell was my first choice and my "I belong here" school, but you really can never tell what they are looking for. I am not sure what I will do next year, but I think I will take the summer holiday to decide. Good luck to everyone today, only an hour and a half until many of you find out...?
