My top choices are: UPENN, Dartmouth, Cornell

UCSD is awesome till now but I want to transfer since it would easier for me to get to law school after an ivy education...

pepsi dont stress too much, maybe they're let all the people they rejected know first :D

haha i wish...
with u(meyer) and grape rejected, im not stressing anymore since I know I am rejected for sure.....

You guys need to keep your heads up.

Nah don't say that. You seem like a great candidate for all the schools you applied to.

is cornell notoriously hard? i'm scared for my chances at other schools now!!

Hmm... mid-June could be the date the rest of us find out!

Thanks for the encouragement...Fingers crossed and hoping against hope.....

Good luck!! to all of you.....
meyer and grape, u guyz r definitely getting into better schools and probably Cornell realised that ur stats were too good for them and that anywayz u wudnt accept the offer of admission...

I'm actually a bit optimistic. If they are so hard on people from such prestiguous schools, maybe they'll be a bit softer on strong applicants from community colleges and such. And as far as community college applicants go, I think I'm pretty strong.

It would suck if they gave all the spots to people who are at perfectly fine schools, and denied strong applicants from lesser schools who would benefit much more from a transfer.

It isn't unreasonable to think that, johnM. The very nature of being at a CC makes a very compelling reason why you need to go to a 4 year college to continue your education.

good luck!

Thanks for the luck wish, I need it. :-)

meyer and grape....Once you guys get admitted to your top choices, post it in this thread also....

Are the Ivys downsizing their admissions programs? First Brown states that they are only accepting 30 for the fall, and now Cornell rejects high caliber applicants...

Harvard is supposedly going down 30 or so spots this year as well...

i thought getting into these schools as a transfer was suppoed to be easier!! this is ridic

Oh, my... noooo.

Do you guys think that they rejected Rice and Chicago applicants because they believed that these applicants were, in some sense, overqualified and were intending on going to other schools above Cornell? I cannot think of any other reason....

This is extremely disturbing news. I'm sorry for grapes and meyer. Wish you guys the best. Glad I didn't apply to CAS! But still scared....

omg......this is making me nervous for some of my other schools and I go to Cornell....this is really awful guys....

sorry for sad news guys.

this is all making me very, very nervous...
