Ugh I’m going to be on my senior trip to NYC with two other people who applied ED to Cornell on Dec 8-9. I don’t know whether to check and risk ruining the trip or wait an extra day…
I would check it on that day if I were you, lol.
Whatever happens happens…
Good luck!
If you have two people with you, if one checks it’s gonna be pretty much impossible to resist, so you’ll probably end up looking at it-- I know I won’t be able to resist checking as soon as they’re out.
I think I’ll probably end up deciding in the moment. Good luck to everyone!
Also, does anyone else have this message? I said I had “income” because I babysit, but it was in cash so obviously I don’t have any record of it. Should I have reported no income? Idk what to do. This is what my only to do item says when I click on it:
We have received a non-filing statement for you (the student) that indicates income in 2015, but we do not have accompanying documentation, such as W2s or 1099s to verify this income. Please resubmit the 2015 student non-filing statement with the 2015 W2s or 1099s to IDOC via ONE of the following methods
Is your “To-Do-List” all clear? When did you apply? I submitted my application on Oct 30th, but my “To-Do-List” is still initiated :((
@firstpet it’s all clear except for the IDOC student tax thing. I submitted IDOC Nov 21 I think.
I submitted my fafsa and everything was done when I submitted my application. Nothing popped up on my to do list, until today, turns out I needed all of those extra forms. I got them all in but it still takes 3-5 days to process, looks like i won’t be getting accepted lol
For me everything for fin. aid is done other than the Aid application certification, which is just iniated. does anyone have the same?
For me it seems like all my financial aid stuff is done. I submitted all of my stuff well before the due date though- I think it’ll just take some time to process
Good luck to you all
Is anyone having problems logging into the applicant portal?
I’m freaking out I just realized forgot to submit my IDOC!!! I’m trying to put it together and submit. Will this affect my admissions chances?!? Should I contact them?!?
my mom is calling them bc of the same thing
Not submitting IDOC won’t affect your chances of admission (because not everyone applies for financial aid, therefore not everyone submits IDOC), but it may effect your chances of getting aid, although I’ve talked to Cornell Fin Aid office a lot in the past couple of weeks (I’ve had some issues with some of my materials that needed to be submitted) and they basically said it being late probably wouldn’t even affect my aid amount if I do get in (although everything did end up being submitted on time).
On a slightly related note, I had a few issues with some of my documents, so I ended up (with the Fin Aid office’s approval) submitting a Federal W2 transcript from my parents, not the actual W2. It’s been taken off my to do list but now replaced as Federal W2 - Parent with the due date of 11/01/2017. Does anyone know why and why the due date is next year? Doesn’t seem to make sense. It would be awesome if it was almost like I have that on there because I’ll be going there in 2017! But I doubt it haha.
@pinkdog13 my due date is 11/01/2017 as well, and my student form was replaced. Maybe when they changed it the date was changed? It’s probably an accident, but it’s strange.
i am @lourveamerican
Did anyone get a likely letter yet? I applied to CALS and haven’t received anything yet.
Do you even get likely letters in ED?
Please chance me! It would be of great help!!!

It’s hard to chance anyone with a 36 on ACT…because we know that once you have great numbers and ECs, your admission will be mostly depend on the more subjective parts of the app, like your essays and LORs.
Good luck!
@HYPSMgod I can’t imagine with those stats and your unique URM status that you will not get in. I would be shocked. I’m sure if you are accepted you will do very, very well based on your achievements. Good luck!
