All my stuff says verif 12/13, slightly diff date
@firstpet Although I doubt that the date indicates the admission, your comment did make me A LOT less nervous and anxious. Thanks and good luck to you too!!
Yes - a very select few. It’s nothing to obsess over, though. The vast majority of accepted applicants do not get a likely letter.
Looks like it is the 8th. They wouldn’t have posted it if it wasn’t going to be the date.
Cornell sends out likely letters to top COE female applicants, URMs, and very tippy top applicants. Most people do not get likely letters.
I heard somewhere that CAS defers very few applicants compared to the other Cornell Colleges during ED, and it seems so based on past years’ ED results threads. Is this true?
Would be interesting to see what the ED acceptance rate changes to this year. I’m thinking it’s getting smaller and smaller every year because of the world economy and competition of everyone.
5 DAYS GUYS GET PUMPED
Guys, what are your average SAT/ACT scores? I’ve heard the averages for these scores are generally higher during ED. Can anybody confirm? Freaking out because I am a 31 ACT.
I think it depends on specific college you applied to…which one did you apply to? ^
@swegmastr , CAS. As an international applicant.
Also, if it does depend by college, which are the most lenient on the GPA/SAT and which are the least forgiving?
Hi guys, I’m an international applicant from Pakistan who’s applying to highly selective schools in the States (I’ve applied ED to Cornells Dept of Governent - CAS). Please take a look at my profile and give your take on whether I have a solid chance.
Also pls note that I WILL NOT be asking for financial aid.
