Cornell ED Class of 2021 Discussion Thread

this had totally only side effect on me…

I have an eight page research paper due tomorrow and I just can’t focus… waiting for this verdict is destroying my life.

Ill be in class when the decisions are out! I hope my teacher doesn’t mind #:-S
I’ve noticed that as the date approaches, I want to be super active on this thread, probably nerves hahah

Anyone know how a 93.02 translates on a 4.0 GPA scale? I am trying to compare myself to the class of 2020… hahahhahahah bruh

I think a 93 is 4.0.

Edit to add: http://www.collegeboard.com/html/academicTracker-howtoconvert.html
from the collegeboard.

If I use the puffin browser do you think ill be able to access my results before 5pm EST??

@hamsamcam17 How would that make a difference?

I won’t have access to internet at 5pm, so I was wondering if I could check before hand. @peskid

That 2020 thread gets my hopes up one minute and they go crashing down the next

you just make a 4.0

Anyone here use Naviance? I checked my Scattergram for Cornell and in the background of my icon marking where I am there’s a purple rhombus, indicating a deferral. Is there any way my school would know by now before me? The Scattergram for my other school (as I’ve only applied to two so far because I’m waiting to see my Cornell decision) has a green square behind it, which is an acceptance. This is coincidence, right?

@Jaysawwwwn you report the decisions to Naviance (at least in my school) so I would assume it’s a coincidence

For the schools I haven’t yet applied to, it’s just the symbol indicating me with nothing in the background… I’m a bit paranoid now

This icon wasn’t there a few days ago, and I asked my friend to check her graph and she sees the new icon too. I legitimately believe I was deferred

@Jaysawwwwn that just means that someone else from your high school with the same GPA and SAT/ACT score as you applied there in a previous year and got deferred or accepted. I don’t know why it would have just appeared now though.

@Jaysawwwwn does your school self report for naviance?

@Jaysawwwwn I believe all schools self report. There is a green dot right where my red circle is for BC, and I haven;t applied etc. When you find out your decision, you mark it under the colleges I’m apply to section.

@georgia123 Yeah I know, I’m just trying to make sense of this. I have screenshots of the graph from less than a week ago and it wasn’t there. Who knows, this week has been stressful enough and I could be convincing myself, but I have no idea. A girl from my grade got accepted to Stanford last week and her graph was updated as soon as she checked out, meaning it could have been there beforehand, but who knows. Can anyone else investigate this and see what your graphs look like?

No, in my school we do not self report. But keep in mind this could be paranoia. There must be an underlying reason for this new icon

Ok I’m 1000000% sure it’s paranoia. The graph has been updated since the last time I checked and I’m entirely wrong… Sorry if I scared any of you!! Someone fits perfectly under my icon… It’s insane
