@bettycrocker03 yes
finally all my stuff has been checked off and my app has been sent for review
Hello Everybody,
Applying to Arts and Sciences for Computer science here.
From what I have read in previous threads is that Cornell tends to review the transfer applications in the order they receive them. i.e. the earlier you sent the application in, the earlier it will be sent for review (at least generally).
@VaishS Hey! Didn’t I see you on the UPenn thread? Looks like we’re applying to some of the same schools. : ^ )
@milkshakezzz I have sent everything in and my mid-term report is still not checked off but at the bottom, it says that it has been sent for review. I wonder what’s happening…
Could one of you guys please specify where it is on the portal it says “sent for review”?
@Mastodon97 so there’s that huge white box that has all the details about act/sat/subject test scores…when your app is sent for review there will be a small white box below that test scores box that says “Your materials have been received. Your application has been forwarded to the admissions staff for review.”
@litlhoward2468 Thanks, I guess mines not up for review yet
@Mastodon97 it’s right underneath where the standardized scores are checked off ( it’s in small print)
When will they start releasing decisions? I’m thinking someone next week?
@ninepm Awesome! If you don’t mind me asking, what are your stats?
I sent my midterm report in the same envelope as the college transcript. However, the midterm report is checked off and the college transcript isn’t. Should I be worried?
@pigscanfly1324 we are all in that boat. So who knows if we should be worried. Lol
Guys, it’s just the first week of April, it’s not the time to worry yet lol
I got the little white box that says my materials are in and my app is under review. I feel like decisions will begin rolling out later next week.
The nerves are kicking in. Also, whoever compiles the applicant list in this thread, please write me down for CAS Anthropology.
@NotAMathlete Heyyy. Its nice to have othes in the same boat Feel free to PM me about anything
Ok so I called and emailed today about my missing transcript and this is the automatic email reply I got. This is pretty much what the automated phone message said too.
“Thank you for your email to the Cornell Transfer team.
Cornell is currently receiving a very large volume of transfer application materials. We are devoting our efforts toward getting transfer applications processed and sent to selection committees for review. Please note that upon receipt of your application and supporting documents, it can take up to 2 weeks to process your application materials.
Cornell will continue to receive and process all application materials, including the personal application, supplement, and fee or fee waiver, received shortly after the application deadline. There is no need to request an extension of the application deadline at this time.
Unfortunately, we are unable to respond to phone calls or email inquiries about whether or not your application materials have been received. We ask that you not send duplicate copies of any materials. We will notify you by mid-April if we are missing materials from your application and will provide you with an opportunity to submit those materials.
Please continue to monitor your application status for the most current updates: http://admissions.cornell.edu/apply/transfer-applicants/check-application-status.
Sincerely,
The Cornell Transfer Team”
So I guess I’ll wait a few more days before resending.
@VaishS Thank you for calling! I sent my college report months ago (I even paid for three day shipping), and it still hasn’t been checked off while the items I sent through the regular mailing process have been received. So frustrating. I was tempted to send it again, but I guess I’ll wait until/if they request it.
Why do people think admission decisions will start rolling out next week…?
@lexluther96 because of every year in the past. theyll either start rolling out next week or the week after
