Cornell Fall 2017 Transfer

@Mickeytransfer Oh, that’s not an official one. Moreso Ian just looks at your classes and says what’ll happen with them.

@Mastodon97 Yeah, that’s what I’m thinking. I’m just so wracked with nerves at this point, and I wish I had established a rapport with Ian earlier so that I could’ve had these questions answered a bit earlier on in the game. Seems like a bad time to add to the pile of emails he’ll have to respond to at this point though. Thank you for the input :slight_smile:

@VaishS What do you mean if we have the sent in for review, we won’t get it until later?

@Mickeytransfer I would email him to show your interest.

@Mickeytransfer btw Ian did an credit evaluation for me. But again at this point since you already submitted your application and transcript there isn’t really a point emailing him until after you get your decision.

@calmrod11235 same

@ILRmaybe so what CALS lady told me is that if your app goes for review later, you might get your decision later. This was referring to my specific case where my HS transcript is recieved but won’t be marked off until next week and thus my app will not be sent to admissions counselors for review until next week.

Based on what she said it makes me think that reviewprocess is rolling based on when it is sent for review and not based on when it is submitted. And I was just a little worried about the first come first serve idea and a lower chance of acceptance for me

But I think Admissions would realize that that is completely not our fault and hopefully account for that

@VaishS If i’m applying to AEM ( which i think is in the cals department as well) , & my stuff was sent for review on the 4th, does that mean that maybe my decision will be out sooner? maybe next week? I’m so nervous!

Mine was sent in for review today!

Hey guys, I had a question. If you are accepted, can you get into the Housing portal? I just logged onto the Housing portal just to see, and it let me through and proceed with an application. One thing that gets me is that it identifies me for category as graduate. Anyone else like this?

@jhong0811 dude your accepted!!!

What school did you apply to???

@ILRmaybe I hope! I applied to SHA. The one thing is that I did go to Cornell for their summer college program for the summer of 2015 and 2016, so I used the Net ID from then (because it is the same as my applicant id right now) and it let me go through. I’m not sure if this actually means I got in or not bc of the summer college thing. Also, it does list me as “graduate” and not “undergrad”, which is weird bc I will be an incoming sophomore.

@taryn97 yeah you seem to have better chances of get a decision earlier!

Can someone post the link for the housing portal? I wanna try :slight_smile:

@VaishS it didn’t work for me :’( I’m so scared…

@jhong0811 so you lived at Cornell housing during the summer program right? If so, I think that is the reason why you were able to log into the housing portal.

@Dontskipthemoose It may be, but they do deactivate the account on it after the summer college ends. And I noticed this similar problem for people in other feeds before ours. Who knows? Since my application was forwarded today, I guess I will find out soon!

@jhong0811 can you post the link please

@ballislife98 https://living.sas.cornell.edu/live/apply/housing-portal-login.cfm here you go!

@jhong0811 i am a GT to SHA and my application was forwarded for review 2 weeks ago and the housing portal does not work for me…so id assume its probably because you were there in the summer
