Can I wear a sweater with long black pants? Or is it better to wear a polo shirt with short sleeves instead of a sweater?

Sweater with black pants is fine probably.

I always go khaki + polo or button up with sleeves rolled up.

Is it fine to wear sneakers?

depends how dressy they are.

most people would prefer loafers.

Loafers with matching soxs. Look/smell clean.

Take your venue into account as well.

so…
“I still don’t know what shirt I should wear yet” + black pants + black Loafers + black socks ?

Should I wear sweaters or polo shirts with short sleeves? and What color?

It’s an informal meeting, it’s still better to be ‘‘that’’ serious, right?

You are almost in college, make an executive decision. If it’s cold where you are then wear a sweater, if it’s warm then go with a polo short sleeves. What color? Really? 10 to 1 your interviewer wouldn’t remember, so go wild.

lol, don’t suit up with a tie, blazer and sharp shoes and don’t go wild with reds/greens and yellows because you might just be that ‘1’ that oldfort is talking about.

If you have this: Sweater (There are several types) Straight Black/Dark Gray Clean pants, Loafers/Just regular shoes not super shiny dress shoes…you might want to consider stating the types you have because there are several.

All in all, just a clean preppy look basically.

I am a Cornell alumni interviewer and I wear jeans. Wear a nice version of your usual school clothes. Some kids wear ties and dress up which just makes them look awkward and uncomfortable.

Do I have to bring in my resume too?

My daughter brought a resume to all her interviews. I think it’s a nice summary and helps the interviewer write the report (sometimes when they meet so many applicants they may their facts mixed up if they are not good note takers.

My resume should include my ECs and my basic personal information only right?

If you have work or volunteer experience, you could add that as well.

I went in a maroon military button up, sleeves rolled up + jeans + white chucks.

Wore a dress shirt and khaki with sneakers. Interview went pretty well. She had to leave for another one after a hour though.
