Sorry if this has been gone over already. I was looking over the website and it said that after I submit my app I will be contacted to meet with an alumni but it is not an interview? If so, will it have no effect on my decision?

I think the alums will submit a summary of the "inteview" to the admissions commitee, so it is considered in admissions. However, I dont think it has any siginificant effect on your decision. For example, I was accepted ED without even an interview.

This question was answered pretty thoroughly in another thread. But here I go again. The interview is a 30 min thing. It's conducted if you live near a willing alum. I've spoken to alums who have done interviews in past years. All they do is verify that the interview took place and write a few sentences. It's essentially to verify that there's nothing horribly wrong with you. It doesn't hurt or harm you, but don't totally blow it either. Not everyone gets an interview, but everyone who can get one does.

Yeh, it's not technically an interview unless your applying to the Hotel School I think. Otherwise it's just an alum sending a few sentences to the Uni, and making sure your not "unqualified".
