Cornell is less regarded among the elite but well-known among "commoners"?

let’s move on guys, no need to keep debating each other.
like monydad says its counter-productive.
it is important to be nice and respectful of one another.
Let’s talk about something much more important… any ed admits get their free t shirt yet?

I did (insert characters here)

@malan89, like a previous poster mentioned, it’s funny how you always avoid answering any questions posed at you if you can’t answer them, shrugging it off. Let me refresh your memory.

Here is what you said a couple of posts ago.

And here is where I just proved you wrong

And yet you somehow seemed to ignore that whole thing and now come up with something else. I guess it’s pointless for me to argue with someone who’s always going to go off on tangents when he feels like he lost the previous argument.

I’ll let this thread die then by saying this.

Here is how your reasoning goes malan

 1. There’s actually a guy who disagrees with me!? IMPOSSIBLE! I’m always right. He must be a ■■■■■ for sure.
 2. There’s actually more than one guy who disagrees with me!? No Way! They must all be the same person with different accounts cause there’s no way possible for even one, let alone 3 guys, who disagree with me.
 3. Oh no! He proved my last accusation false! But I’m never wrong! I’ll just have to pretend I never read it and hit him up on something else I’ll make up to suit my needs.

Yup. We have a real winner here folks. A freaking genius! You do know that all the people who agree with me are just not coming out cause they know they’ll get bashed by people like you and monydad, right?

@monydad
You of all people I thought would be mature/old enough to understand. But I guess you’re offended too cause some of the things I said relate to you/or your daughter, and so you’re also being blinded by your anger/bias too. Also, no one else is reporting problem post because they’ve obviously tried, but as far as I can see, none of my posts break any of the forum rules. I’m arguing my opinion, against the masses too, and you’re the one getting mad cause I may have struck a nerve. And just FYI, it seems like malan’s vicious attacks were the problem, since it seems like the mods deleted some of his harsher comments back a few pages ago.

If you don’t aggravate me further, I’ll let this thread die.

cornell is good.

All you did was prove that the administration wants to improve Cornell’s reputation and you weren’t able to connect that to their budget cuts because, well, that’s absurd.

This isn’t a preschool playground. You don’t get to bully other people on the internet, chief.

@malan89, if you have anything constructive to say, may I suggest that you respond to anything that you think is not accurate in post #119. I mean if you say something like most Cornellians would go to Cornell over Princeton, surely you would want to back that up and respond to the comments in post #119. Thank you and have a nice day.

Wavedasher in a knockout victory over Malan89 with his post #125.
Poolboy, had you not been worried about the free tshirt, you may have won with your rather insightful post #119.
OK guys, the debate is over.

cornell is a great school but is the ‘worst’ Ivy.
I think thats a fair assessment.

disagreed, it is an excellent university and not the worst ivy - that title belongs to dartmouth (in my opinion) and by many accounts, cornell is as good as any of the ivys, stanford, mit etc…

P.S. MALAN89 never even answered the bell after posting #119. It was a good match while it lasted. But somehow I think we have not heard the last of MALAN89.

Poolboy, were you accepted Early?

engineering, ORE major
how about you?

ILR, but if Princeton accepted me tomorrow…omg, I’d be there

@chelsearox You can’t say it is the “worst” Ivy because there are programs at Cornell that are not offered at any other Ivy League institution, like atmospheric science and the agricultural sciences.

Princeton is great, but Jersey is not another story…
Good luck to you at Cornell!
Can’t wait, so excited and glad that they have ED.

thnx d00d!!1!!1

hey guys, anyone know when the free shirts are sent out?
Christopher
Cornell class of 2015

What free shirt is that? I did not get one.

Well, it’s great to have the input of folks who don’t go to Cornell and don’t have an understanding of what’s being discussed.

Plus, where did all of this Princeton talk come from? What does that have to do with anything?

Poolboy made the absurd claim that no student in their right mind would pick a state-funded Cornell college over Princeton.

@MALAN89.
I meant no disrespect.
Just called the match like I saw it.
Is there a rematch in the works??
