I am confused, in the Cornell forum there's this paranoia over an apparent leak? Can anyone clarify this?

Some students saw their adcom/admission results on the official Cornell Site...early.

It would have taken a lot of willpower not to click on the link. Should this make the news, CC will get a lot of new customers.

No matter how tempting, I would not have clicked on that link. I remember what happened last year!

Cornell did post a response on their self serve site........when you read it you will guffaw.

Ya I didn't click on the link and now I wish I had. I'm probably 10 x as nervous, but whatever it's only a couple more days.

You probably still can get there......and find out. Inquiring minds and loyal CC fans.......well you get it.

...what happened last year?

.....................?

Last year I believe some Harvard students tried backdooring their way into the website to get their admissions decisions early but they were caught and those who were accepted were then rejected. At least I think that is the story.

MBA candidates........MIT and others. The link was on a BusinessWeek forum and it was written up in NYT and other places. Quite the deal.

ouch. ah, the trials and tribulations of being a genius ;P
