Cornell or Johns Hopkins or Sophie Davis???

I got into all of them but I don't know what to choose, should I flip a coin? My major will be biology and I will be a pre-med student. I want to make my decision regardless of financial aid. anyone have any feedback?

Definetly not Sophie Davis cause I’ve never heard of it so it’s not that great. I’m partial to Cornell but JH is beast too :]

the only thing famous about johns hopkins is its medical school and everyone knows that cornell splurges its huge endowment on undergraduate education. Strange statistic: 14 percent of the incoming class of 2008 to Johns Hopkins Medical school went to Cornell while 4 percent went to Johns Hopkins and 22 percent went to Harvard.

I personally think that Sophie Davis is a great school. My friend just got accepted there and is definitely going there despite all the ivy league hype. They accept only exceptional students and very few (15-20 students). It should not be discounted because someone here has not heard of it. Believe me the grad admissions office has and going there can provide you with a great experience. I know that the facilities are amazing.

My friend last year turned down Harvard and Brown to attend JH. She came to visit over the holidays and tells everyone to apply. Either way best of luck and tell us what you are thinking!

absolutely johns hopkins. i know cornell is an ivy league, but johns hopkins has the best med school in the country, as well as the best pre-med undergrad concentration program. i applaud you. johns hopkins for pre-med is a serious accomplishment. i’m sure you’d do fine at cornell, but any med school that sees JH is going to jump at the chance to have you.
plus, cornell is known more for their top-notch engineering program and less for their med-school placement.

go to Hopkins if you are premed

hopkins has a great pre-med program but you have to be really set on going into pre-med. if you’re still not 100% positive, i’d choose cornell - it has other majors that are prestigous as well, not just for pre-med.
