I got accepted into RABs but I don’t really know if it’s worth the 10k. Most prestigious programs are free or pay stipends. Is this program that worth it?

Bump bump bump

Anyone know anything about the summer engineering summer experience? Anyone out there do this program? How difficult is it. And are you consumed with doing work the whole time?

BUMP!
Someone has got to know…

^It shouldn’t take too long…once you have all your papers in, probably a few weeks? When did you apply?

I’m unsure about tuition payments…you may have to pay at least a deposit. When do you find out about SSP?

I plan on applying to Cornell next year for college, and I was accepted to the Body, Mind, and Health program for this summer. Does the program enhance my chance of getting into Cornell as an undergrad?

Ah nevermind. found the answer right on their page

wow so many people here have gone to the summer college!! i applied around 1-2 weeks ago and i was just wondering how long it takes for them to make a decision?? i’m quite nervous ><"

Could anybody compare this to other summer programs at ivies/stanford?

Are there many parties?

Are the people cool, or generally nerdy?

Were there many high school students, like in excess of 1000?

What is the acceptance rate like ?

Hi, I’m really interested in becoming a vet and want to do something over the summer to get some hours done. Is the vet program good? what does it involve? would you recommend it? basically just any info about the program would be great. Im going to be going to college next fall, can you go if your not technically in high school anymore? Do you know any other good veterinary summer programs out there? Thanks.

Hi, I really want to become a surgeon when I am older, so i was looking at the medicine courses - body, mind and health vs. biological research and health professions. Has anyone done either course? if so, which would you recommend? also would you recommend cornell over harvard summer session program?

Is it competitive to get in?
Is the College Success program really beneficial before entering college in the fall?

Hey everyone, I did RABS after my junior year and it didn’t help me or many of my friends there with admissions, most of us are not at cornell now. My project does look awesome on a resume, however. Any independent research really depends on your mentor and your own motivation so its hard to generalize about how helpful it will be. It was a great way to start research at a college level and also to experience college academics and life (minus partying-no drinking) If you dont mind the price and have nothing better to do id definitely recommend it

Do you mind sharing with us where you and your friends are now? Your project on the resume - did it help you get into other highly selected colleges?
In addition, for RABS, do you have a choice of topic and professor, or it is strictly assigned.
How many kids were in the program with you?
Thanks so much.

The architecture program at Cornell’s Summer Program is excellent. Good classes, great teachers and motivated students.

I gott accepted goths architecture program. I was just wondering a few things, what is the work load? Will I get portfolio pieces? And can I get a recommendation from the professor? Thank you

I have gotten RABS for 2011 summer. I am not sure how valuable is this for high selective college admissions next year. Can you please comment on this? Anyoneelse who did RABS last year, comment please?

Kala

I also got into RABS for 2011 and I’d really appreciate any information on the program!

Is their engineering summer program good? I really want a good academic experience. I dont wanna spend idk how much partying in cornell for six weeks…

I know its already the middle of May but my instructor still hasn’t given in my recommendation to Cornell so my application isn’t being reviewed right now. Do you think there’s any chance of me getting in to the Body Mind and Health program?
