Donāt lose hope! There is a school out there for you! And UIUCās acceptance rate for CS is also very low, especially for OOS. So Iām hoping it isnāt your only back up plan.

Havenāt been on CC in quite a while, but I wanted to drop in and say I was accepted to CALS! 
No ACT/SAT because CALS didnāt take them
11 APs and all 5s on all tests Iāve already taken
Varsity sports, internships, leadership in multiple clubs, ample volunteer hours, community outreach/initiatives in subjects relating to my interests (population health, medicine)

UIUC CS is one of the top programs in the country. Thatās why choosing a second major on the app is key, if you would go there for something non-CSā¦

For those accepted, when did you receive the financial aid info?
DD accepted 1510/35 3.95uw/4.4w 300 hours service, eagle scout, good LoRs and essays.
I have not received fin aid info yet here. Hopefully soon.

We got our financial package late Friday. The calculated EFC was better (lower) than shown on the FAFSA, resulting in a good offer.
Cornell still factors $5k or so of loans, which was expected based on Cornellās cost calculator, but still a little disappointing for an institution of its caliber.
Overall very happy!
