I was just thinking, it would absolutely suck if someone accidentally applied to Cornell College
I have one P/F class which is CHEM 132 (which is not my choice)
I applied to Dyson, I know a reccomended pre req is one course either CHEM or PHYSICS with lab.
Last semester, i took CHEM 131 with lab and got an A.
Do you guys thing this P/F will affect my spring transcript?
Not at all! Receiving a letter grade was not an option so there’s nothing you can do about that
For P/F Dyson it says that “No. You must receive a grade in the course for it to count toward transfer requirements and to transfer for credit to Cornell. In Cornell’s view, taking a course P/F is like not taking the course at all. If your institution has a policy that all grades are taken P/F, you must ask to have your grades uncovered to receive credit.”
I don’t think this will affect your application. I doubt that they would deny you because of one course being a P/F. The admissions understand that these a special circumstances. I don’t think they would accept it as a credit. You might have to take it again.
@trasfer4200 Adding onto the above post, I think they may be mindful of the current situation and potentially accept it as credit (you could ask someone at your school how you could go about uncovering it?), especially if it’s not your choice. I recommend reaching out to an admissions counselor regarding the specifics of that!
I did. Its a chem 132 course, Dyson only says that one course is recommended in chem with lab which i already have done.
I will email an advisor tomorrow. However, I will talk to my professor to see if he can give me my letter grade on my transcript. I highly doubt that this will be the case.
I do think they are accepting P/F courses right now because of the situation.
Speaking of the grades, do we need to update our final grades, if available, to Cornell?

Calc 1
Stats
MicroEconomics
and there are 3 recommended classes that you should take
MacroEconomics
One Full year of Biology (Labs not required)
one course in either chem or physics (Labs requried)
The sciences are interchangeable tho. you can either take chem, bio or physics
