Also curious as to when these last schools will close their WL. There’s less than a week until the end of June and from what I’ve seen in threads from previous years is that most people are notified before the end of June (correct me I’m wrong).
DD was just notified that she was not offered a spot at Cornell for SHA. They updated her portal and sent an email. I agree that when they are forcing triples, they are FULL… so she was a bit prepared for this. Good luck to everyone!

@shooye When you mean communal amenities, do you mean bathrooms? Yes, they have communal bathrooms. Male, Femal, and gender inclusive.

As far as the study lounge to quint situation, UGA has done that periodically in years past as they have had several recent dorm full year renos. It has not been a permanent solution, or even a semester long solution, as they were able to move kids out as people either didn’t move in or dropped out. Hopefully that will be the case here!

It isn’t closed, it’s open. I’m pretty sure it’s the last.
If I recall, my daughter’s floor had a male, female and gender neutral bathroom. Each had 5 or so stalls and showers that were cleaned frequently. She never complained about any problems with a wait or shower times.
The new dorms I think have more suites and perhaps have their own bathrooms, but I’m not sure. Most are community bathrooms which you then don’t have to worry about cleaning yourself.
This is precisely what others have said. People don’t show up or drop out and kids quickly get moved out of these study rooms. I sure hope so. I would not be a happy parent if this happens to us.
